What is Content Delivery Network ?

Content Delivery Network or Content Distribution Network is a system of  computers networked across the internet.

To provide QoS (Quality of  Service) in streaming or application over internet, CDN is recommended. If  you are going to use normal user database application or blogs in your internet or hosting it doesn’t require Content Delivery Network.

When your website or application over internet requires  QoS then you have to switch to Content Delivery Network.

Mostly CDN is used in online Games, Streaming audio & Videos and File sharing websites.

Every day bandwidth takes over for backbone operators and internet service providers, because due to growth of internet.

If this continues there will be no reliability of delivering content (Eg : Streaming audio and videos) over particular country or region.

A content delivery network, or  CDN, is a system of servers spread around the world, serving files from the nearest physical location. Instead of waiting for a file to find its way from a server farm in United States.

To solve this reliability of service CDN are used in big companies like Google, Yahoo, Amazon for their web services.

How CDN Works ?

Content Delivery Network works on the basis of keeping  redundant servers over the internet.
