Well yesterday we posted regarding TCS domain hacked and most of the users may see the domain and the site loads fine. But here we like to explain why it is loading fine and why it is not reflecting in India.

Domain hacking or DNS hack is one of the word often heard in internet. Changing the DNS entries and pointing it to any other server is called DNS hack or Domain hacking. When the DNS entries are changed it may take 24 – 48 hours to get reflected all over the world.

We have analyzed TCS domain by applying simple NSLOOKUP query for name server and we got non-authoritative answer as NS5.TCS.COM for primary name server. So the site loads to be fine which doesn’t reflect much in India. But still the TCS domain is pointing to NS1.TRACOM.NET (Primary Name Server Record), NS2.TRACOM.NET (Secondary Name Server Record).

Update : www.tcs.com is fine and up.
