Windows Logon Background

If you are using Welcome Screen in windows xp switch to Logon screen by the following steps

  • Click the Start button
  • Select “control panel”
  • Select “user accounts”
  • Select “Change the way users log on or off”
  • (Un)check the “Welcome Screen” option
  • Click “Apply options”

Steps to Change Logon Background

Select Start — > Run and type “regedit”

How to Change Logon Background in Windows XP

Navigate through registry “HKEY_USERSDefaultControl PanelDesktop” on left side as shown above picture

Double click on Wallpaper in right side of the registry

How to Change Logon Background in Windows XP

Now you can see Edit String, in that change the Value Data to your favorite photo which should be in (.bmp) format

Done now your Logon Screen is changed.
