Turn Google Alerts as SMS alerts to your mobile phone. It’s easy few days before Google Alerts unveiled RSS feeds option for Google Alerts, using Rss feeds we can create SMS alerts which is similar to Creating SMS alerts for Orkut.
The above picture explains how SMS alert is created using Google SMS Channel.

Steps
1. Create Google Alerts and set the delivery type as feed or edit existing alert delivery type as Feed

2. Now you can see RSS feed link in your Google Alerts account.
3. Copy Feed URL and Create a new Google SMS channel and insert this Feed URL in your Google SMS Channel Source.
4. Fill Necessary things, Now your Google Alerts turned to SMS Alerts.

thanx for the info. BTW, i am using my google calender alerts to be received on my mobile the same way, since my mobile operator is not registered with google calender.
